It seems a good step for Lao movie, not much investment but good market even small in Laos.
Now every Lao are hungry for Lao movie, I'm sure the Lao Art Media came to right track
I'm a person looking forward to watch and support this Lao movie.

I'll seriously barrow it. I'm not a hater, I pay for good movie. This movie's looks alright, it'll prob look much better w/ pretty Nang Aek and Pa Aek. I'm sorry but who did the casting?! Her face looks like chinese bun. I see lot of pretty lao girl in Laos, why not cast them? Don't tell me there isn't any pretty lao girl who can act, because it's bs. same w/ the main guy, he can play a friend, but the hero? who are you kidding. Any other movies ? This movie looks boring . I don't like dramas . Besides , Lao dramas are not as good as Thai and Viet.

I certainly support the production of Lao movies. However, I think some actors in this movie need more acting lessons because they still can not perform naturally. When they talk, it seems like they are reading the scripts.

Vietnam got money with real equipments. There is no comparison there. Also, you recognize Dustin Nguyen who starred in American TV back in the late 1980 named "21th JumpStreet"?.

Lao Art Media working on a shoestring budget with equipment that you and I can afford. I used to have Canon XL2, I could have made this type to movie too.

Anyway, it will take sometime for Lao filming making to mature, but this is a step in the right direction. Whom ever involve in the making of this sort of film, it will be a learing experience. As their experience and budget increase, the quality will improve as well.

I think to compare Lao film to other film is irrelevant because Laos just stated, and others have been making film decades or more.

Why are Vietnamese people in here bragging about their movie industry when you can't compare it to Laos since they just started. They are still at their baby stage.

I agree with jao3. You gain experience with everything you do. If you don't try, you'll never learn to improve. I am glad Laos is even trying to make movies now. Good luck.

The sky is the limit, I believe Lao can have a Lao's director in film industry, what Lao government should do is sending someone to study in this subject and get a proper qualification and from that, Lao government must give financial support to build film industry in Lao.

Lao movie industry is fairly new so they are learning all the required techniques and getting props available to make a production. They are still at the fundamental stages of a movie production. Its not easy to put a movie together, props to them, but at least they are starting and would be nice to gain support from their fellow Laotians. Giving constructive criticizm where they can learn and grow from will produce a better result.

I commend Lao arts media for finally trailblazing a Lao movie industry. Its about time, I have been wondering if I would ever see a Lao Hollywood during my life time. Knowing that there is a beginning gives meaning to hope. Continue doing what you are doing and continue aspiring and pioneering other Lao artists to follow your paths. I am confident that with many more movies made, Lao movies / actors/actresses will soon become a household dinner conversation. I am very interested in watching the movie (Only You) and future projects you may have.

i like good movies.
often time good movies have a good plot.
often time good movies have a heart.

the film makers will do good if he can connect and able to be in touch with the lao audience, which means
less to do with how much money you can throw at the film, less to do with if you have hi-tech equipment or how much explosion you can create or if you know kung-fu, etc...

i like a movie with good storyline, something that the audience can connect with.
a good movie may have great dialogue and well written story line imagination yes? confuse
