A new Lao movie "Mork Sivith" (hazy life) started its filming process early this month the first of July, and is set for screening to the public at the Lao ITECC's cinema hall in October.
"Mork Sivith" is being shot at Nam Phao village, Vangvieng district, Vientiane province, and Vientiane capital, said last Friday Mr. Sonesay Keomanivong, the film director of Mork Sivith.
Mr. Sonesay said the film would feature a medical student's life with a hope to graduate and then return to his homeland to help people in rural areas. But his dream and ambition fell onto despair when he learned that he was suffering from an incurable disease. Hence, he told his lover to continue his dream and make it true.
Mr. Amone Sayavong, a pop singer from the SD Studio, plays the actor and Miss Thippakone Inthalangsy as the actress in the "Mork Sivith".
A new film will be produced by the Lao National Stage Play Troupe, Ministry of Information and Culture, which is designed for the celebration of the 35th anniversary of the National Day, the 450th proclaiming anniversary of Vientiane as Capital, the 90th birth anniversary of late President Kaysone Phomvihane and the upcoming 3rd Party Cell meeting of the Ministry of Information and Culture.
