the field looks to be so very dry.

they appear to be enjoying the playtime, waiting for something.confuse

Bunch of boys having a time of relaxation at the rice field during summer. Kids deserve that. And they should enjoy it while it lasts. When they become adults there is almost no time to rest from back-breaking work. E.g. if they want to earn enough money.

I don’t think those boys are poor, they seem to have recenable clothes to wear, and they look happy and healthy to me.
