I started to drink LaoKhao when was 17..and later Beer. i don't know if the govt is still allow another beer investor company in Laos?

Political talk, dear fellows, you see the advertisings against tobacco everywhere but nothing against the alcoholic brewery while both are dangerous for health and affect our lungs, liver and our brain that lead to create road accidents, dog fightings... it is to say we have two standards, government should crack down for both tobacco and alcoholic brewery but, but we ought to understand the government too that the more Beer Lao makes profit, the greater incomes for its butget coffers but we still have two standards 'cos the tobacco company pay not less tax than the Beer Lao co. but have no right to advertising...Hehehe !

US just 43rd? I'd have thought should be within the top 10. Luxembourgh is too small a "country" to even be included in the list, but i guess in terms of "drinekrs" over its population, they should rate very high. Indonesia down there below? Wikipedia should do some updating.

This is BS! the rating is based on the consumption/populations. It should be consumption/populations + tourists...we are small in term of population compared to other countries listed so i said we are doing good at #61.

yes we have Lao Hai Lao Tho. So? other country have wisky, brandy, cognac, wine, vodka etc..... you name it.....LOL.

Its Because We Lao people got a high percentage of mentality above anything that can surpass anyone else, we can control the flue in our body u can call it chakra also.we are like gods.Our spirits are very calm and can synchronyze with the nature so it makes an harmony in our body straight to our mind. u need to be relax to drink a lot and maintain anything u do or u think of , not everyone can get what we have. only the lao bloods that run in ur veins can do that and it comes naturally even if u dont know!!thats a bonus for our kind!!a pure rarety!!! if ur not lao u wont be able to drink pure alcohol like we do. smile

IF JUST ADULTS OR WORKING PEOPLE DRINK IT'S THEIR BUSINESS, BUT EACH TIME I VISIT LAOS, ALONG THE MEKONG RIVER, I SAW YOUNG AND PARTICULARLY YOUNG STUDENTS DRINKING, AND THEY WERE SUCKED IN THE SORT OF THAI MUSIC, THAI SONG IN KARAOKE MOOD, THEN IT'S A WORRY AND PROBLEMS. WHEN YOUNG STUDENTS DON'T STUDY BUT SIT AND DRINK BEER THEN LAOS IS A COUNTRY WITH A BIG BIG PROBLEM.

The students drink Beer Lao cause they know they have no future. There won't be no jobs or anything like that waiting for them when they graduate. Might as well drink it up now and have fun while they're young.

At least the girls can become Beer Lao girls or something like that so they might as well learn to pour drinks now so they can prepare for their future job.
