Vientiane 450th Anniversary is in November not in October. So, I think it would be fine. Travel in Vietnam in October, and then come to Laos in November. It is kind of two-way benefit.

what for? I don't think that I can go travel with 2 mil VNĐ. The most important thing's the way ur country do the business. People like to charge as much as possible. The resident buy it with the cheaper price than us, at least 3 or 4 times. OMG, it's really expensive. Moreover, "An xin" "Hang rong" - they're go around me and wanna steal something of mine or force me to buy something.

Yeah, Vietnam's the peaceful country, but I do hate the way u do in tourist

If you do the traveling yourself of course you'll have many difficulties . You should book a tour service , they will guide you where to go , where to eat and shopping with cheap prices .

I don't know the other's opinion, but I don't go back to Hanoi once more time. It's so terrible for visitor. In Hanoi, everything 's more expensive than Saigon; but it's not the capital of economic in Vietnam. Saigon 's the best for u to go shopping and to explore their culture. They have a Chinatown, a modern city. In dist 1-dist 3-dist 5, it's very easy to communicate with people in English, especially the youth even though not all of them can speak English, but it's better than Hanoi.

Danang, Nha Trang, Da Lat, Sapa, Hue - I love these cities. They're so beautiful and peaceful. I went back to visit Vietnam coz it's my father land; but I really hate the way people served me in Hanoi. WTF! I came to see something and would to buy; but they charge me too hight. so what i did? I got out the store and they abused me behind my back. So far, my sister doesn't have the same thing like me. Why? Coz she has the western face, but i'm not. We're the mixed between Vietnamese and Canadian, and we don't know Vietnamese language. In the south of Vietnam, especially Saigon, we don't face to that situation. Next summer, we'll be back to Vietnam with my cousin. He's fluent in Vietnamese and English coz he spent the first 14 years of life in Vietnam; but he recommended that he wouldn't come to the north of Vietnam

yes I agree . Hanoi people are egotistical while Saigon people are much more friendly and kind . And there are a whole bunch of luxury shops and many shopping centers in Saigon too . They sell very beautiful and fashional clothes and Vietnam clothes are very long-wearing unlike Thailand's clothes . I bought a pair of sun glasses and a T-shirt in Thailand , after a month , the sun glasses broke down and the T-shirt wore out badly .

Hanoi is safer than Ho Chi Minh . You just need to be careful on the bus . Always hold your wallet in your hands .

Is that so? According to my Vietnamese friends, so many northern people go to live in Saigon, so we'll be confused abt it.

Like these guys above, I do hate Hanoi coz the way they treated me so bad at the first time I come back to visit my dad's country. OMG, it's better in Saigon. It's the nice city and I'm very easy to find food store with a cheap price, maybe I have  a Vietnamese face. lol.

Honestly, Hanoi people 's not kind as Saigon people, but they're very easy to make friend with foreigner coz they wanna have a chance to practice language. I do prefer to talk with student, but it'll be the problem to talk to someone on a street. In Saigon, I don't care abt that, Saigon people don't pay attention to foreign as well as Hanoi. They have an insductrial life. Like the Western, they run so fast, eat fastfood and go to work. Moreover, I feel comfortable to live in Saigon, it's the best city in Vietnam.

Because someone above said that Vietnam is dangerous so I just said security in Hanoi is better than Hochiminh a lot . In Hanoi , there are no robbers on the street .
In HCM , if you call cellphone on the street . Becareful ! You can be robbed your cellphone .

I don't know, but Vietnam 's the peaceful country as I think, even though u have to be careful whenever u travel in the north of Vietnam. It's my advice after the long trip of mine over there.

I do not think that they don't a robber on the street in Hanoi. How can u know abt that? to read in newspaper? OMG, they never post these bad news abt their capital, man. Saigon's better in that part.

Like these guys above, I think Saigon 's better than Hanoi in all parts, especially in service. Hanoi's the worst that i know in Vietnam. Like these famous place in the north of Vietnam, they have a wonderful background. In this part, Saigon couldn't compared to Hanoi and the north of VN. Unfornaturely, they don't know to serve customer as well as Saigon. They're too rude
