After 33 years in the Foreign Service, Karen B. Stewart received her second appointment to be an ambassador when President Barack Obama selected her for the top U.S. diplomatic post in Laos.
Good luck to her. Am sure it will be a post in paradise. I do hope it will foster economic cooperation between the 2 countries - one that would benefit the grassroot, not just the very few privileged beings.
It is about time that the United State have to move their factories from China and Mexico and India to Laos and Vietnam and Cambodia because we could offer them cheaper labors as low as $ 2 per day less than 1 bottle of Miller beer or a big Mac but it will help Lao people a lot .
