TOPIC: Any body please give the advice to an old retiree Lao American who would like to go back and invest his money in Laos?
I had been asked by an old Lao American man who has been working hard all of his life. Perhaps, he has been working two jobs for 14 hours a day and 6 days a week for all of his life. Since he came to the United States as a refugee in 1976. Now he is about to retire and he would like to go back to Laos and invest his whole life saving monies in Laos. I have no answer for him but to tell him to enjoy his golden years when he is retired. He said that he enjoy working even he will receive the check about $ 1800 from the US social security department and about $1000 pension check from his union per month plus medicare and his medical benefit from his union. So he still wants to invest his monies in Laos. Any body is an expert in the business and also is successful. Please give this old man the advice, thank you.

he should forget about investment in Laos, just go there for a visit a year or two and see what's going on before make a decison. He should enjoy his retirement here before his time run out.
