I watch Thai classic movie on line and I tried to load that scene to show everyone but I felt to do that, my computer skill is too weak. One good scene of this movie was father is teaching his daughter to remind her not to trust Western people. His daughter ask him about Thailand was slave to any western country, here's what he's explaining to her:
- Thailand is never be slave of the Western country because Thailand was born right after World War one was over ( in mid 1930 ) after Siam.
- Siam used be under Burmese occupied for 60 years. In the 18th century was under occupied of England until mid 1930. During those year terms, Siamese had been learned how to eat with fork and spoon, wearing or dressing like the West, changed of using right side traffic to left side, eat Western foods and even wedding ceremony is same as the western country. Siamese left all their cultures behind and kept England culture instead since then.
His daughter ask him back:
- Father, that's look like Siam was England's slave, what you think?
Father:
- No, I couldn't tell you about that, I don't want my head falling off from my shoulder.
