I think it is a reunion of Vientiane highschool students who graduated long time ago. The scene is actually recorded in year 2004 and they are now all in France !

Former students of "Lycee de Vientiane".
We were educated in this famous school (most of our teachers were French).
When the Communist took over in 1975, we were branded as too western ideology and many of us are living in overseas now.
