This is a very good idea to spread this kind of event in every province of Laos.
From the photo is the beauties in a parade in Thakhek welcomes the new year.

I guess the colour of Lao police uniform is made from the same materiel produced ror the  Vietnamese military uniform.

I seems like the beauty pageants are wearing the same type of Lao dress. Lao new year is not just celebrated by the Tai Lao only, but also the Tai Leu, Phu Thai, and many Tai ethnics.Therefore, each regions should show their uniqueness of their costumes.
I want to see the Tai Leu ethnics in nothern Laos celebrating their new year, that would look nice.

Each province should have their own Ms. New Year.

After a week, hold a national beauty pageant... and televise it. It would be lovely.

The New Year Parade look so nice along the laos security go along the side for safety and order. I hope to get a chance one day to celebration a beautiful laos new year.
