I love to be rich and be happy than to be poor and happy. Be poor and be stupid. Be rich and be smart.

It would be the fool who is not worry about the money . Go ask all the Laotian are don't worry about the money. Even the beggar still worry about the money.

It's funny, have more billionaires doesn't mean that we're rich.

its pointless if there are 10-20 billionaires but others 10 million ppl still poor.

When we compare who is richer, what country is better, We using GDP or HDI.

Why are lao people happy with their life? coz we don't think so much about life, we are enjoy for what we have.. of course we love $$ and love to be rich, but it is hard to earn a lot $$ because we don't have high education, we don't have opportunities and the government is poor as well.

but we are still enjoying life, we have a little money to buy beer and pay for a girl if neccessary.

anyone love money, but money doesn't love anyone.

we dont have debf to be pay off
we dont have business to think about?
we don't worry about tomorrow?
we have a wife and child, we can raise and care take of them of what we have, if we don't have, we can ask money from our friends, cousins or even lend them, but a little $$ that we can repay it soon...

simple life, simple thinking, be Happy for what we have... life is too
short..man

man, one of the best ways to not being worry about money is to focus on something else. Focus on helping yourself to be more prosperous, to be richhhhhhhhh

There is no good reason to be poor. No more excuse, kiss your ass and do biz!

But they're prosperous in their happiness!   Don't worry, just be happy for them.

Nobody is happy all of the time, but some people are definitely more fulfilled than others. Studies on what makes people happy reveal that it doesn't have much to do with material goods or high achievement; it seems to whittle down to your outlook on life, and the quality of your relationships with the people around you. If you appreciate your life you are sure to be a happy person!

So don't worry, be happy.

agree 55%, but in the meantime admit that the material goods and the achievement have great impacts on life. simply because we live with it...

agree only 10% as it is a positive thinking. but for me it is too optimistic and unrealistic. by saying don't worry, we ignore the truth which is unacceptable. to solve problem, we need to identify the problem and do not hide or escape it. acknowledge the problem, and solve it.

I will be happy if I am lucky and win the lottery like Sommay Rattanakone. 55 millions dollars.

Washington Couple Claims $55 Million Mega Millions Jackpot! Couple "had a feeling" they held the winning ticket

15.jpg

OLYMPIA- Sommay Rattanakone (pronounced So-My Rah-tan-ah-cone) and his wife Xia (See-ah) Rattanakone both had a feeling they may be holding the winning ticket for the $55 million dollar Mega Millions drawing from Tuesday, October 17, 2006. The couple from North Bend purchased their Mega Millions ticket at the North Bend Safeway store and picked up a winning numbers report to confirm what their gut told them, that they were the winners of the second largest jackpot ever won in Washington State.

52-year-old Sommay returned home from work with the winning numbers report the day after the drawing, but wanted to take a nap before checking the numbers. Xia had another idea, she couldn't wait. "I heard her scream, 'We won!'" said Sommay; naptime was over. The couple spent the next few hours in disbelief talking about their big win. "I couldn't sleep," said Xia Rattanakone. "I woke up at 4am the next morning. We couldn't believe it. I prayed for this. It is a dream come true," she said. The couple turned in their winning ticket at the Lottery's Seattle office on Monday, October 23, 2006.

The windfall means the couple can retire early. Sommay works for Seattle Public Schools as a bi-lingual instructional assistant and Xia is temporarily employed by Nintendo. In addition, the couple plans to donate to an orphanage that has special meaning for them. "We plan on helping the Catholic orphanage in Laos. It was where Xia was raised before she was adopted and brought to the United States," said Sommay. The couple also plans to travel to Laos where Xia will search for her family history. "I don't know my parents. That is my wish to find them," she said tearfully.

In addition, the couple plans on investing in a new home, a new car and putting aside money for their two children's college education.

WASHINGTON'S LOTTERY
Washington's Lottery was established in 1982 and has generated over $2 billion to the Student Achievement Fund, Education Construction Account, State General Fund, and stadium debt reduction commitments. In FY '06, Washington's Lottery contributed over $102 million to education in Washington State. Washington's Lottery offers consumers six types of games: Mega Millions, Lotto, Quinto, The Daily Game, Daily Keno, and Scratch.

A Jumbo of a Win for Mom & Daughter

Schenectady – Viengkham Kounnavong and her daughter, Anna Vargas, vowed to split their Lottery winnings if they ever hit the jackpot. Their promise recently became a reality when they purchased the popular Jumbo Bucks Instant game ticket at Wegman’s, their local grocery store.

Kounnavong purchased the jackpot winning ticket from a New York Lottery vending machine at the grocery store. She said she knew it was going to be a winner when she saw that the selection button for that particular ticket wasn’t originally lit like all of the other tickets, but then lit up while she was making her selection. Vargas couldn’t be more thrilled with her mother’s selection of the elephant themed Instant game ticket.

Mother and daughter both plan to take a trip to Kounnavong’s native home, Laos in Southeast Asia, dubbed "the land of a million elephants" by King Fa Ngum in 1353 A.D. Kounnavong and her husband, Vargas’ father, moved to the United States after the Vietnam War 25 years ago. The 46 year old Kounnavong, mother of three, shares the prize with her oldest daughter, 24 year old Vargas, who has a daughter of her own. Both mother and daughter plan to continue working, Vargas in retail and Kounnavong as an assembly worker at a local company.

Jumbo Bucks is a $5 Instant game ticket with 12 chances to win up to $1 million. Overall odds of winning a prize on the Jumbo Bucks game are 1 in 4.92. Mother and daughter purchased their winning ticket at Wegman’s, 2599 W. Henrietta Road, Rochester. In addition to announcing the first Rochester millionaires of 2005, the New York Lottery also recognized Wegman’s as the #1 retailer in lottery sales by location for 2004.
