This is the first update of my posts regarding fashion stuff.
As I've known that presently, lots of Lao teenagers are fever for Oriental fashions (let's say, Korean, Japanese, Taiwanese for instance) as a result of of the current phenomenon (Korean Fever). Therefore, I post these shiny stuff to suit you guys's interests.

Hey guys, I'm in a rush now heading out to have dinner with my friends and I promise that I'll post the cooler stuff later on

STAY TUNE! LOL

I just wonder if our people want to wear this kind of fashion and riding a motocycle in the 38C degree weather. There are also a lot of dust in Laos.

Hi Dek Lao in Perth,

Thank you very much for sharing your idea and info in Samakomlao forum.
We are looking forward to hear from you again and again.

By the way, I just came back from Perth. It is such a very charming city, with a lot of beautiful gardens.

No worries dude....
I was so surprised that you just came to Perth and return to Laos not long ago. Disappointedly, we should have known each other before you came here so that we could hang out together, he he....
Anyway, I'll try my best to update international musics, fashion as well as news across the globe into the site in order to attract a large amount of deck lao paying attention to this website, which in some degrees, I hope that they will learn something new from the site, improving their english, for instance.
It's 1am in Perth now and I'm off to bed now.

I wish you guys good luck and keep on good work.

Cheers,

DeckLaoinPerth

Man purse. LOL!

American would laugh if they see this guy walking down the street with a purse.

So it is common for men in Asia to carry something like that?

Yes, cultural differences.

Its a bag, it holds things. Americans are always ill-prepared, always leaving the house without this or that.

Also another thing: most Asians don't own a car, most of the the time relying on public transportation. They can't just simply put their belongings in a car like Americans can and when they need it, they can't just run to their cars like Americans can. (not even close to correct grammar huh)

Asians males have a more feminine face than other race groups. It is even more heighted because East Asian cultures have a concept of "beautiful men" where the men come on as androgyne.

With all these combined, it leads to an American or Western stereotypes of Asian Males being weak, women like, or even homosexual.

Ask any Japanese girl to show you their favorite Japanese actors or singers, most of them look like women.

Kamenashi Kazuya, Miyavi, Yamapi are some examples. Groups like KATTUN, Lead, L`arc~en~Ciel, NEWS, etc.

the problem with these clothes is they only look good on tall, white, thin people, not short, fat, black people - most people should not imagine themselves in this picture - tui, tia, dam, tuk, pen yang kao bor mak ha

Just another example of how stupid and closed-minded Americans are.

Well, I dont blame those who mention or even laugh at current condition of Asian fashion (Asian guys with the purse), but I have more fashion stuff updated for the incoming year from numerous brand names and also, I have must-answer questions to ask you guys, Is the current fashion state of Asian is behind the time or Is it outstanding and state-of-the-art, which is admired by many nations across the Western World especially those who are fashion-leading, Italy, France, etc?
However, I think the following photos are the correct answer to the question.
Importantly, these photos are from the new collection of well-known American brands, therefore, based on the fashion shows, I can summarise that "GUYS WITH A PURSE" is not a present fashion of just Asian, but it is a new brand style that is being consumed and admitted throughout the globe.

Lol that's fine but the reason why so many prefer a bag over a backpack is that a backpack is so often associated with... tourists.

Oh I'm the guy that just posted, and the post about the bags before.

I'm into Tokyo Street Fashion, so I know a lot.

It isn't specifically about brand names in Japan at least. I went by shops in Shibuya with crazy clothes with no name brands, and they do sell.

My reasoning for why Asian Male style of clothes and hair is so different than western styles is this:

Asian Males, or even colored males, have the stereotype of "all looking a like".

But as you see in America, white kids all wear the same thing. T-shirts with nonsense on it, polos with collars flipped up, flip flops, jeans, etc. They don't have to deal with that stereotype.

In Asia on the other hand, all males have black hair, brown eyes, etc. This is why they color their hairs or have different lengths, to stand out.

The clothing is the same also, instead of a T-shirt, Asian Males use layers upon layers of shirts, something commonly done by American Women.

Instead of baggy jeans, they use the slim cut jeans with ruffles at the bottom, something commonly done by American women also. Why? Most American boys are muscular and fat, Most Asians are the opposite.

But this whole talk has blown clothes out of proportion of its original purpose, to clothe and protect us. I personally like Business suits.

OK, self note: No carrying backpack when I go visit Lao to avoid looking like a tourist.

for me i like korean fashion also but not the kind you posted..

i like more of a street-ish? like high tops with slim/straight jeans that go inside the shoes, boots, long shirts but not big, mufflers/scarves, layers, big glasses, etc.

Yes, sort of. Likely, my fashion habit is in the part of Asian smile.gif
Sadly, I cannot wear like the posted style at all as it is summer here in Western Australia (39 degree Celcius furious). Nevertheless, I've got the summer style which I will post in to the site later on.
Possibly, I think I have quite lots of the style you did mention and yeah, I will show you sooner or later.
I like fashion stuff and also, I like to mix and match btw asian and western fashion. To me, the style of both western and asian fashion is different, however, there are quite a lot of interesting attractive and charming points between these two. While the western mostly focuses on the simpleness but luxury, Asian concentrates on just glitter colourfulness and modernised.
Therefore, I've come up with the idea that it must have been effective if these two different characteristics are combined.

No man I'm saying its to each their own. If you don't care about looking nice, or even your looks at all, go ahead and use a backpack. Or if you don't find a bag fashionable and prefer a backpack, thats all you. But then again, you were the first one to rip on the "man purse" by laughing at it.
