I just want to know if there are some former or actual students of the well-known  LYCEE DE VIENTIANE  , visiting this website ?

It would be nice if this site could gather former students of this Lycée, just for fun, and also for nostalgia !

Early 1960, there are not many former Lycee students, Vientiane, surf
internet. I used to be a student there then I left to English Section, Dong Dok. I
had one friend in Dallas, TX and one in Sidney, Aust. these two are formers Lycee students but none of them are touching computers. I had a lot of classmates from Dong Dok whose lived in Aust., they are ignored PC. Anyhow, I am sure
most of former Lycee Students are in France

I live in Australia but I am from the generation of Lycee in Lao as well.
I attended the Brevet examination in Vientiane....although I am from Lycee de Savannakhet, somehow I am still from that generation, of course there were many nice souvenirs from those lycee years, which I never forgot. Those years you found these songs were very popular too, Adieu sois heureux, La maladie de l'amour, Chanson d'amour, Poupee de su poupee de son, Aline.....etc

Oh, yes, I remember those songs, I still listen it in the radio, here in France !


I wish to watch some Classmate's photo in this period taken in front of the building, if possible, it would be nice indeed .

Woa, a lot of old timers visiting this forum. I thought most of them here are the post revolution children but I was wrong. Well, where can we find a similar forum in french ? or does anybody care to answer ?...
For the dude who wants to have the Aline song on the cd. This is so easy to do. First go to youtube and type aline or follow this link :http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-4410800935136436425&q=aline&total=22868&start=0&num=10&so=0&type=search&plindex=6

then convert this file with the youtube converter (mp3) - http://convertyoutube.com/ -
then convert the mp3 file into wav. file. Voila, and burn it onto a cd.

I had two brothers went to Lycee de Vientiane. now, one lived in Tx, USA and one lived in CA, USA. and I live in CA too, I love the song LYCEE I had CD and listen to it in the car. my 7 years old boy heard the song and love it. He told me to replay it and he sings along.

I lost my heart  at Lycee de Vientiane in 1970. At that time I had many friends and now I´m alone in South America.(Argentina).
I love my lovely country Laos.

Please come back to Laos. I have heard that the Lao people living in Agentina are really poor. They have less opportunity than local people. I don't know whether it's true or false.

Dear Former lyceen,

Just want to correct little thing about none of us like touching PC. That is a Myth.

I had my Bac in '73 and searching for friends but some how unsuccessful.

My name is Phouvong , thai savanh and now living in Winnipeg Canada. It is nice to

see some one doing the same thing as to reach out to former friends.

 I knew what a Lycee de Vientiane or Lycee de Savannakhet were, I just don't pay attention to it because I'm not a Falang Kee-nok I'm a Yankee that's why.

Perhaps I am  a very lucky guy to get to know my former student of Lycee de Vientiane.  I am a former student of Lycee de Vientiane in 1975-1977, and now I am living in the US.  I heard they had a reunion of former students of Lycee de Vientiane in Texas last year.  Anyone has any info. that you can share when are they going to have another reunion.  Please post here.  Thank you!

I have been looking for couple of my classmates from Lycee Vientiane:

1. Mr. Khamsirxay ( Ban Bor O resident ) forgot his last name.

2. Mr. Phoukhao Luanglath ( Ban Pamuang Thatluang )

3. Mrs. Ratsamy S. Phabmixay ( from Vang Vieng).

The 3 persons above was my best friends during school year 1968 to 1973 from LYCEE de Vientiane. After we graduated ( Received BREVET et DIPLOMER ) in 1973 we were separated each other. Khamsirixay went to University Sisavavong, Phoukhao went to P.T.T. and Ratsamy went to Dong Dok ( CINQUIEME ANNEE ) or Vithayalay Khou phark pey. and I went to IRDA. We were contacted each other from 1973 to 1975. After 75's every body were disappeared during the fallen of the Royal of Laos.There was over 35 years that I have been looking for them. Several times that I was looking for them in Laos when I went visit our motherland but, couldn't find any trace of them. 

If anyone know those 3 people above please post on here Samakomlao website.
