It is not a graveyard. They are not 'graves'. A grave is a six foot hole in the ground where a corpse is buried. These are different. There must be a better word. What is it called in lao language?
i think its called a taht as in taht louang and its very typical in laos they cremate the person whose passed on and store there ashes in there i think thats how they did it also
A better word than a "graveyard" is a cemetery. I've never seen those kind of "taht" before, not in a form of lotus, looks much like in Siamese style. The viharn itself looks a mix of French and Siamese or Khmer style, which is common to find in southern part of Laos. Where is this? my guess is Muang Khong or Muang Champasak.
