Francophonie conference was an important political event... maybe this won't change directly lao people life, but this event successfully organised by Laos was important to put the focus over laos, internationaly. If more country look at laos, this mean more business oportunities, more investments, more tourists... This can generate many good things.... very indirectly.

Other important good news i remind are
- 3rd friendship bridge planned
- begining of building of the railway Ban Tanaleng-Bangkok
- new water park in Vientiane, to attract more tourists and their money.

And finaly, as i said in the topic about "bad news" http://www.activeboard.com/forum.spark?forumID=98894&p=3&topicID=14732562 , the ThatLuang Marsh development project by China can be a very good project or a calamity... just depending of what they will really do.
