It's very simple, coz you have nothing to do with Laos, what you have is only your parents are lao. You can get in the shoes of lao ppl.  They are different from how you feel and how you think and what your life likes.  you are different from everything.
What you have in common is only the color of your skin.

These girls are not Lao-American. They probably made the video is Laos.

ae can comfirm, that they are from somewhere in the US, i suspect, they are from california or minnesota and i don't think they ever stepped on lao soil.

I have to agree. The descendents of the Lao-exile don't have the right to be called Laotian. Lao-American is a different story, because that denotes a person of Lao ethnicity. Laotian is a citizen of Laos. Lao is the ethnic group in Laos. Don't get it twisted!

This is the problem with all societies and ethnics, when someone wants to do something new, other people have to talk down to that.

It takes perseverance for these people, these girls in our situation, to do something new and to fight the negative comments against them. This is why the most intelligent come out on top.

So to these girls, if you can understand my english, I hope you carry on with whatever you want to do and ignore these negative comments, or maybe even use it apart of your segment to strengthen your show. Good luck.
