I wonder how he can become a singer in Laos, while he is sill a student in Japan. It seems ridiculus.

These are hypothesis:

1. He already graduated from Japan and went back Laos
2. He temporaly left his class and headed to Laos for his album
3. He goes Back and forth between Laos and Japan
4. Others

I like the song Yuu Nai Hai, good music and good dance.
For the romantic song, the way you mix Japanese with Lao is good, but the japanese accent is not clear and hard to understand.

Overall, good start and I will cheer you up.

cleopipo,

I think he's an artist who has a characteristic voice and style not similar to other lao artists.
anyway, if you ask my opinion about Lang and Apacts, I can absolutedy say that their songs are really similar to thai songs and they are just the same with other pop singers in laos. the same words to say "they have no their own style". Especially, I really dislike "Apacts".
Unfortunatedly, Apacts has no man, just lady boys(GAY) and girls! most of lao people know that!

buratino,

Keep go on! I like your ballad song called "sabansanya". the music is cool. I really want to know the meaning of the japanese words in the song. when will your CD be released?

cheers,

No bad. Matter of fact I like it a lot.
He is different than all other out there. All those guys sing in Thai Bangkok pop style. They are all clone.

He is good.

But why does he have a rope tie to his leg? anyone notice that?

I disagree with you. His performance is nice through this clip. how come you said that?!
I think he has his own voice. I can remember his voice when I listen to the song second time. anyway, he should learn singing more. well, now is good, his tone is very soft and really feel good to listen. I mean if he learns how to sing more, he might become a leader singer in laos.

ah! "yuu nai hai" is awesome hahaha very fun song. i like it.

It's funny, I know there's a lot of similarities between thai and laos (my mum's from isaan, so she understand some laos, I found out, when we went to Laos on vacation).
I think he's quite good, but I don't understand that a. someone says he doesn't sing like thai pop ... it think it is very much like that, I understand it's not like mor lam at all, but the bkk pop is very influenced by J-pop and K-pop anyway. And b. when I go to his myspace profile, he's listed under Japanese Pop, he's supposed to be laos, yet I understand most of what he sings (and I only know thai).

But other than that - kudos for doing it! :)

Why all the concerts in Laos are all lipsings.
It is lack of interaction with the audience.
I wonder how the difference between the real voice and the record ones.

I think too, like Mor Lam style where the voice is very distinct, we can hear in L-Pop more music than voices :(

That's dommage, but it's not ALL singers :)

well, there are some reasons why some singers lipsing when perform thier concert:

1/ that singer is not ready to sing. such as he/she got cold, sorethoat or not vailable to sing.
2/ when he/she must sing with dancing. So it's better lipsing.
3/ when he/she have to show on TV live.
4/ in the big stadium, we cant sing for sure because of the reflection sound. So the best way is just lipsing.
5/ other.

Not just lao singers lipsing, foreign singers also lipsing such as Britney Spear, Dong Bang Sin Ki, Rain, Bird Thongchai......so many singers lipsing. But how to interact to audiences is other case!

I think the heart of performance is not just singing. But it's how to entertain the audiences.

Yep, I agree with you that they prefer thinking of their prestation, audience, popularity before everythings.
But, even if many singers used lipsing (in France either), I think that a good singer who stay many times should be charismatic and not superficial. Britney Spear ? Ok, but are she is a nice singers in Press ? I don't think so, she is attacked by critics cause she doesn't care of Fans who believe on her.

But, infrastructures can play a big role too :)

I do agree with you that Thai and Lao are similar BUT NOT THE SAME. It's great to hear that you understand lao.
If you listen to lao string songs of lao artists, you will discover your answer and know where's different between thai and lao.
Here are some lao artists who sing in the correct lao and original lao, not similar to Thai song:

Cells - Sao Khou Euay
Over Dance - Mr. Hinsom
Alexandra - Jewel of Mekong
LOG - E Yang Ka Dai
Swinging - Phou Thao Noi Jai
B-Hero - Ban Nork
etc....
Try to find them out on youtube.com

As for this artist, he sings good. And the word, You Nai Hai, is an expression that's used in laos. Is it also used in Thailand?

good for him. it seems like the laotians living outside of laos produce much better music than the ones residing in laos. just my opinion.

i think this guy's voice is good and he has better japanese speaking skills, but golf and mike dance way better and they interact with the audience better.

Thai deed record company never seriouse of helping Laos musicians to become a better singers than Thai itself. Cream has a great voice but I know in her music there is something didn't sound right.
