Photos shows Young children in Phongsali province enjoy drinking beer with their friends. This is not weird since all the adults beside them are all having fun and enjoy drinking beer. It is said, adults are the best template for children to follow. My question is do we really have age restriction for drinking any kinds of alcohol in Laos?

either that bottle is empty, or hasn't been opened, and the kid is just playing around. If you look carefully, there are no bubbles or indications.

I probably did they same thing when i was little, just playing around.

Do you ever wonder why in Europe they barely have an age restriction when it comes to alcohol and end up with very little drunk driving?

Its because people built up a tolerance. Kids that start drinking socially in their teens have a harder time of getting drunk when they're older.

I hope this is not a cut and paste photo. Look at the face of the kid, he looks really happy of what he did and in the state of drunk. No doubt

In the picture there are adults in there so why these people allowed the kid to drink. So they are responsible for this matter as well. Fine them.furiousfuriousfurious

That maybe he put some water for drinking inside that bottle like i did when i was a child because of lack of bottle for store water especially in the rural area.smile

It's true, alcahol and tobaco biggest drug increase in Laos. It is socialy acceptable so everyone do it.

Europe does have drunk driving, some parts of Europe have extremely low life expectancy, mostly due to drunks. Life span in Russia very low.

Chill out, smoke a joint.

IN japan, they have beer for children calls: Kodomo no Nomimono

Can you imagine these products being marketed overseas? With so much concern about “the children” these days we doubt that fake beer for kids would make it past the pitch stage at any beverage company. Well, almost any company. Sure, there’s the sparkling grape juice that kids sometimes get on New Years Eve in lieu of champagne, but to have it specifically marketed to kids is a different matter. While Americans would likely overreact and freak out, we haven’t seen any such reaction here in Japan and these drinks have been out for a couple of years now.

Sangaria started their line of fake alcoholic drinks for kids with Kodomo no nomimono (Children’s drink), and has been successful enough to offer it in bottles, cans, and even six-packs. They also expanded the product line to include children’s versions of wine, champagne, and ****tails. The beer, flavored like apple juice, even foams at the top when poured into a glass!
