I think it is good to translate the Lao greeting word to thai, because not so many people in Thailand know much about Lao culture. The thing probably due to the lack of lao media and information in Thailand. Thai people use sabaidee which mean "I am fine", but in Laos, we use "Sabaidee" to greet someone and to show that "We are fine".

I don't get it. Lao and Thai is so much alike. The only thing seperate Laos and Thais is Wealth. Lao language is so similar to Thai language. If Tai Lao can understand Thai Lue or some Tai Dam and conclude what they are saying why Thais is not smart enought to do just that.
