hey im lao from us n i heard there wont be a basketball team for the up coming 2009 asean olympics im soo disapointed i wish there was a basketball team and plus does any one know if a laos person from outside the country can play in the asean tournements for laos??? can someone answer my question?

to answer you question... yes, laos do have open try out on different sports.. they do allow laotian from aboard to participate... the key to this is... you have to make the team and be there in laos to train.. you have to pay your own way there.. i've heard there are some lao golfers from U.S. and Canada will be part of team LAO.
