I just feel so bad for those monks. I think Chinese security force was too hard on them. I felt the same way too when the Burmese soldiers beat up all those Burmese monks.
At the same time I am not a supporter of Activist Monks. In my opinion, monks should not be involve in the political process or be the causes of the political process. Monks should only play a role of a spiritual adviser.
The monks deserve it. They staged the protest along with the bad elements in Llasa that set fires on the buildings and killed innocent civilians. They deserve the retaliations and suppressions from the authorities.

You are right. If you were real monks you were supposed not play in politic. You needed to follow the Buddha way. Otherwise, you just pretend to be a monk.
We all know the Chinese masses will spread out and take over the world. This is just one step. If the Chinese told me my home was under their control I would be angry too.
if monks stay at temple and praying according to the monk`s rule and regulation the bloody event wouldn`t happen, politics belongs to politicians, not monk`s business and stay away from it, it would be much better for them. regards.
I wonder why the government cracks down on peaceful protests? Especially if they are monks? Its because the Monasteries have a good sway over the population in Tibet.
Tibet wants freedom, I can't believe you people are taking the opposite sides.
Then again, lots of you live in China's little bitch, the Lao PDR.
