I just feel so bad for those monks. I think Chinese security force was too hard on them. I felt the same way too when the Burmese soldiers beat up all those Burmese monks.

You are right. If you were real monks you were supposed not play in politic. You needed to follow the Buddha way. Otherwise, you just pretend to be a monk.
