Does anyone know where exactly this area is? The photographer said it's: "approach to Pakse". I am from Pakse, and still confused about this shot???...The larger river appeared to be the Mekong,but as far as I'm concerned, there has been NO lock and dam across the Mekong yet???...and the smaller one? what river is that? I'm still trying to find and look at the map.
Ok, after searching and carefully looking at Google Earth satellite image, I've just found out that it's not in Laos yet. It's in Thailand. The larger river is Nam Moon (in Ubon Province),and the Dam is Pak Moon Dam. The blue color (smaller river) is the run off from Princess Sirinthorn Dam. The camera angle is like south to north, and the aircraft appeared to be heading southeast to Parse.
