(KPL) A number of Chinese-invested projects in Oudomsay province has been increased, covering almost half of foreign investment projects, in the first six months of 2007-2008 fiscal year, local source has said.
Head of Planning and Investment Service of Oudomsay province, Mr. Ouphone Mingboupha, said “the investment by foreign companies has been increased by 58 projects with the total investment of 65.6 billion kip. These include 27 projects invested by Chinese businesses.”
Chinese investors are attracted in mining exploration, rubber three plantation, small-scale industrial plants, agricultural machinery assembly and services. The cause of increased investment is that the province has supported and provided favourable condition for foreign businesses, especially those who want to invest in mining exploration and agricultural sectors.
