(KPL) Labour and Social Welfare Department has discussed on solving and preventing baggers in Vientiane Capital last week. The meeting was chaired by Head of Labour and Social Welfare Department, Mr. Onsy Keophengla and drew relevant officials from four districts of Vientiane Capital. The meeting was summarised previous works on the solving of beggars starting operating January this year and to end this year.
There are over 170 beggars living in Vientiane Capital, according to the last survey of the Labour and Social Welfare Department. The main group of beggars was disabled, children, drug addicts and common people who come from another province.
