(KPL) Over 2,700 hectares of farmland have been damaged by flood water in five villages of four districts of Vientiane Capital.

The flood damaged farmland in five villages of Nasaythong districts of Vientiane Capital: Ban Senedin with 941 hectares of rice fields, nine hectares of maize land, nine hectares of fish-rearing land and 17 hectares of vegetable-growing land.

Four other villages, Ban Phatthana, Ban Nongsa, Ban Na-nga and Ban Boua had 117, 100, 40 and 30 hectares under water, respectively.
Heavy rain over the past few weeks also damaged cultivated land in two villages in Saythany district.

Five hundred and thirty hectares of rice fields and 37 hectares of land planted with maize were damaged in Veunethene and Thadindeng villages.

In the Pak Ngum district, rain damaged 800 hectares of farmland in 11 villages. Another district, Sangthong had 122 hectares of damaged farmland.

The Agriculture and Forestry Division of Vientiane Capital and Agriculture and Forestry Promotion Offices of every district and offices concerned were prepared to overcome any problem connected with drought and excessive rainfall conditions. They were stockpiling rice seeds and crop seeds to further give to flood victims, if needed.

Don't use the verb "are" for your aunt house when she has only one house. If she has many houses that are flooded then you can use the verb "are" For her single house, you should say my aunt house Is flooded, not Are flooded. O.K.?

Mekong River is critical level

(KPL) Thousands of sandbags were stacked on the banks of the popular riverside area of the Mekong River in Vientiane and it was meant to prevent the water from flooding the city.
Hundreds of Vientiane residents gave help voluntarily to fill the sandbags with sand and they said they were determined to prevent the Mekong River from breaking its banks.
The water level of Mekong River seemed fast increase in few days ago.
Many Vientiane residents flocked to see the Mekong River yesterday which they were scaled of Mekong River would flood.
According to the Meteorological and Agrolona Meteorology Department, the water level need only to increase by just one metre and the river would begin the process of flooding the city. The Mekong River was at the level of 12.22 metres on 11 August and it increased by more than 57 cm yesterday.
Mr Somphong, an expert from the Mekong River Commission i said that if the water level increased to 13 metres there is the danger of a flood as the dyke can only hold the water at 14 metres.
He added that this year rainy reason is onset early that begun in May till this month. This prompts irregular rainfall.
The rainfall forecasts to be ongoing next few days because the rainstorm from Vietnam affected northernmost provinces of the country.
In this condition, the Vientiane is risk at flood in next few days, he explained.
Mr Noulab Phetthany, an official Information Centre of MRC said, now Vientiane residents were bringing thousands of sandbags to lay out in line stretching 1,500 metres from Mekong River bank of Pakpasack Technical School, Bouthaboury district to Donchanh Palace Hotel, Thatkhao village, Sisatthanak district.
In 1966, Vientiane was flooded by Mekong River that damaged considerably peoples prosperity.

Do you even know why I didn’t say “We just don’t know who they are?” because you are the only female bitch in here that like bark at other people’s English, so it is only appropriate to use “ (IT) to describe you.

biggrinbiggrin

Are you aware of the differences between semicolon and apostrophe? Since you like to be a professor then please learn how to use write your own English correctly.  Instead of it;s for everyone.  It should be (it’s for everyone)
