What kind of Lao food that you think foreigners will shock when they hear or see or try ?

Here are my list

people in Philippines & Vietnam eat khai luuk too, so visitors from there won't be shocked ;)

Foreigners  are dee[ly shocked when they saw dead and alife beautiful birds, squirrels, bats, rats and many exotic wilflife are o sale in the markets in Laos.

Chinese Hubei also eat Khai Luuk, but Chinese Tawjew don't eat

All kinds of frogs and toads are caught for sale and consumption in Laos.

Padek usually does the trick.

Any kind of insect, especially Maeng Da. The big ones a little strong.

Up north I see good home made kai yo ma but they are really Chinese food.

I'll turn it around, what western food turns the stomach of Lao people? Strong Cheese?

yes, those duck eggs are called "balut" in the Philippines. In fact they are even featured in the U.S. TV show called "Fear Factor" where if the contestant cannot finish eating these eggs, they lose the game.

Those ant eggs look nasty. How do they taste?
