Chinese company to grow cassava for bio diesel refinery in Champassak

(KPL) Champassak province has given green light to the Dynasty Ltd. and the Zhongxing Telecom Equipment (ZTE) of China to conduct a feasibility study on cassava plantation in the province to supply the bio diesel plant that is going to be set up in the future.

The feasibility study on cassava cultivation will be conducted in Sanasomboun and Bachiengchaleunsouk districts, Champassak province.

An MOU was signed in Champassak province on 10 September, between Head of Planning and Investment Service of Champassak province, Mr. Nalongsack Satakul, and a representative of the investment companies, Deputy Head of ZTE, Ms. Gui Yaping Dinasty. The signing was witnessed by Champassak Governor Sonesay Siphandone and officials of both sides.

After the signing, the investors will work with local authorities to conduct a land survey for plantation and general conditions of socio-economic development and economic and technical analysis and then the result will be sent to provincial authorities for consideration.
