(KPL) Vice Vientiane Mayor said last Friday the annual event That Luang Festival falling on 7-12 November had been set to be more meaningful. Mr. Somvandy Nathavong, whose post was mentioned above, said the Vientiane intended to make the event more meaningful because the event was to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Lao People�s Army, the 25th SEA Games in 2009 and the 450th founding anniversary of Vientiane Capital in 2010. Around 900 government organizations, foreign embassies, private companies and international organizations and non-governmental organizations as well as over 200 booths representing both domestic and foreign businesses are expected to take part at the event. As the last few years, the administration of Vientiane has allocated the Lao International Trade Exhibition and Convention Centre (ITECC) for holding the eight-day trade fair (8-16 November.
