Bangkok Airways promotes circular route to Laos at 9,890 THB

Bangkok Airways (PG) introduced another winter airfare offer combining two idyllic Laotian destinations, Luang Prabang and Pakse; in the “Sabai Dee Muang Lao” promotion at 9,890 THB. The deal is valid for trips made before March 31st, 2009.

This airfare promotion includes three flight sectors: Bangkok-Pakse-Luang Prabang-Bangkok or vice versa. Bangkok Airways will operate one flight to Pakse every Tuesday and Friday, and to Luang Prabang 3 flights daily. For the sector between Luang Prabang and Pakse is operated by Lao Airline (QV).

 

*Ticket is valid 1 month from the first travelling date and is exclusive of airport taxes, insurance surcharge, and fuel surcharge, and must be issued in Thailand only.

It is good to see more flight going to Pakse.  But, I still think the price is kindda high (9890 bht = $290).

What am I paying for if exclude tax, insuranace, and fuel? Am I paying $290 just for a seat. I still have to pay for fuel , tax ,and insurance?
Kind of stupid.
