Thanalaeng station in Vientiane, Laos.

At the moment, Laos has only one train station in the country.

Why do they call this station "Thanaleng". Seems to me that it's rather near Ban Dongphosy. Ban Thanaleng is a little bit further.

They call it Thanalaeng train station because it is near the Thanalaeng immigration post(office) or the Lao-Thai Friendship Bridge.

The immigration office is called "Thanaleng" too? but it's located in Ban Dongphosy, not Ban Thanaleng.

Ban Thanaleng is a few hundreds meter further.

One month and a half and i can see this with my eyes: last year i saw the 'near finished' train station, but they didn't finished to renew the road (from the bridge to the train station). Now the road is finished.

i'll bring you more photos if you want (i'll be back end of february)
