New slogan for Laos
Permalink

Many countries try to use their slogan to attract more visitors to their country for examples:

India: Incredible India
Thailand: Amazing Thailand
Malaysia: Malaysia, truely asia
Singapore: Uniquely Singapore

If you are asked to add new slogan for Laos (The old one is: Laos, jewery of the Mekong river) as a campaign to drive visitors to Laos 2009, what will be your slogan and why?

Post your new slogan for Laos now !!!

I have a few, and if I may please.....

"Explore the Excitement Of Silence"

"Come In As Guests, Leave As Family"

"Imagination to Share, Moments to remember"

Why?

>> Our country - Laos can extend beyond just a country's slogan efforts and seep into popular culture, often outliving the products or services we once promoted. Laos can grow beyond mere and make our way into world's consciousness.

?what can happen when you start using words with the "un" prefix.

for exampe,

i don't understand
why i woke up this morning with someone's unwear
wrapped around my head.

i must have been under
the influence.

it will become my undoing
when my girlfriend comes home unaware and
she will not understand.confuse

----------------

anyway, i go with the "untouched laos" also.
there should be a law for crimes against minors however;
Death by hanging or penis cutoff and then death.

Laos, simply beautiful !!!

Dear Friends,

The Lao People's Democratic Republic (Lao PDR), referred to as “ Laos ” is situated in the golden mainland of South East Asia. Laos is a land-locked country of stunning natural beauty, rich in culture and history, beautiful temples, strong spiritual traditions, and it remains relatively unexplored.

Laos is a peaceful country and has high potential for tourism to be discovered in the heart of South East Asia. More than 70% of the country is comprised of highland area, offering great opportunities for a variety of outdoor adventures from trekking, kayaking, cycling or caving. Pristine, lush jungles, limestone forests, rivers and waterfalls, islands on the Mekong-Laos has it all.

It is not just the beauty of the country but also the kindness, friendliness, hospitality and generosity of its people along with unique and attractive crafts and arts that make travelers' stay in Laos an unforgettable experience. All over the country there is multitude of traditional celebrations and festivals. In addition, Laos boasts numerous historic sites that are testament of its long history.

Laos is duly recognized as one of the safest and secure destinations for travelers from around the world.

This website of the Lao National Tourism Administration promotes tourism and facilitates tourists' visit and enjoyment to our peaceful land. It provides a range of up to date information for tourists and visitors in order to discover what Laos has to offer.

Taking this opportunity, I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to JICA for its generosity in supporting the improvement of this important website and appreciation to all our partners, members, travelers and the whole travel and tourism industry.
I look forward to our expanded relationships.

I wholeheartedly welcome you to Laos “Simply Beautiful”.

 Laos, simply beautiful

It is a nice slogan. I like it. However, I feel we put too much on beautiful. It's a kind of exaggeration, somehow. Our advertisement seems to be too open to praise ourselves.

Yes, we know quite well that most of our Lao people like to praise ourselves, but whether our country is beautiful or not, why don't let our guests tell us.

I am afraid our tourists would be disappointed over their expectation. All tourists visited Laos like to tell about Laos that Lao people enjoy simple life style. Everything is slow. Some even said about "PDR= Please Don't Rush" while staying in Laos.

In a way, I feel if we just put our slogan as "Simply Laos", it would more suitable and attractive.

laos, one of the last living remnants of a beautiful place and culture.

let yourself witness the serenity sunset, the quiet night fall
and wake up to the morning tranquility.
feel the quiet water of the mystic mekong river.

explore the mysterious mystical landscape.
let your heart have a spiritual journey through laos
and experience the quiet nature in the heart of south east asia.

grace...peace...mystical -- laos
grace, peace, and simply beautiful -- laos.

please take it from tinko.
have a break. when you are in laos: explore, relax, and enjoy.

that is tinko's way.

well, let's stop here. we can not go on forever. ; - )
too much tranquility and peace make me sleepy too. LOL.
