i don't like the color of roof, it should has done other color. but not light blue

 I agree with you. That roof should be taken down. It doesn't math with the rest of antique stucture of Wat Phou.

The French guy (Paris-Vientiane) is correct. I agree with his assessment of the roof. It is there to protect the crumbling structure. Imagine if rain fill up the place. The wall will surely collapse.

Then how would you protect the structure from collapsing?

Do you not see the area where the roof was installed? Doesn't it look like it is crumbling?  Can you not see if the roof is not there what will happend when rain season start? The water would fille up and push the thin brick wall out as a result the structure will fall apart.

The roof is not a permanent thing. I suspect it is there temporary while they are fixing the fall.

confuseroof not enough to cover the entire structure.

it will only take one wall to collapse for the whole thing to come down.
maybe put more roof to slow erosion from rain and the elements, yes?
