You don't need the freedom because your father and you don't want to lose the power that you have . your family and you corrupted millions dollars from the people and sent you to the United States to get education. That is the reason why you don't want us to help the poor kids there because you want to keep those kids and people to be that way. You are scare that they will get smart and one day they will take the power away from you and your family .It is time to stop for over 3 decades of corruption the world see what your party are doing to the people. And you hate the united state too much then don't study in the united states , go to study in Russia or China.I know most of the student abroad come from Laos are the son or daughter of the corrupt families their families stole millions from the country and they have million in the Swiss bank.

LAO NORK HELPS LAOS IN MANY WAYS, SOME HELPS CAME THROUGH THE GOVERNMENT, LAO COMMUNITY ABROAD AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST A PERSONAL DONATIONS TO CHARITIES. BELOW ARE SOME EXAMPLES

GOVERNMENT: Australia built the friendly bridge across the Mekong River for Laos & Thailand as a gift for countries, the bridge brings so much economic benefits to both countries. The money that Australian government used to built the bridge came from Australian tax payers that included about 10,000 Lao people who called Australia home, these people (including me) work, pay our taxes 30 - 45% (depends on our income) to Australian government, they then use these money to build the country as well as helping other nations as an act of kindness and a good relation with the neighbourhood countries.

LAO COMMUNITY: Help Laos through rural education, building schools, exchange students, orphanage organisation, rural etc.

PERSONAL DONATION: Donation of stationary, books, clothes, toys etc. to a non profit organisation.

THE LAO COMMUNITY & PERSONAL DONATION are rarely get reported by the press, therefore most of use wouldn't know.

ANOTHER THING: Some Lao people are investing their money in Laos, therefore Lao people have work to do. When we visit Laos, we spend our dollars in Laos, that's the tourist dollars $$$ they all benefit Laos economy and people.

You got it wrong we never want war . All we need the human been right , the freedom of speech, freedom of press when we see some government corrupted , We would like to have our voice to be heard. The people have the right to criticize what right and what 's wrong. If the president Obama did some thing wrong or right and we have the right to say but if in Laos you say or someone say that, they will be killed . Let give the right to the human been to be human. The people are tried not to be able to speak and say a word when someone in the government corrupted. The people need to be heard not to be shut up or jail or Killed. The people now they are afraid to speak out of what the corrupted in the government are doing. I only wish and hope in the peaceful and civilize way.

Not true. They interfere with the internal business of several countries such as those in Africa, & Burma. They just don't interfere in countries that are as powerful or more powerful than them...they choose countries that are poorer & with weaker governments that are easier for them to manipulate. In return, they get plenty of resources, & also more countries to side with them against Taiwan (e.g. when voting in UN). When there was trouble in Burma & Sudan, Western governments had to ask China to use her influence on the governments of those countries. China does seem to have quite a strong influence on the government of Laos.

It's not only the American government that discredits other countries' governments. It's a common tactic used by the governments of many countries, especially to make their own people believe that they are the best government. Cuba's government likes to discredit the US government. India's government likes to discredit Pakistan's government. Iran likes to discredit Israel's government. Malaysia's government likes to discredit the Singapore government. North Korean government likes to discredit every other government on earth :P & so on & so forth, just take a look in what every country writes in their own newspapers...everyone is guilty of it ;)

Thanks, TSP, I just wanted to say what you said, the freedom of speech ? look at thailand with their yellow and red shirted people mob which almost led to civil war. we really don't need this kind of freedom, the most important thing we really need is peace, we know that other countries have high technologies in every field, can travel to the moon, go to mars, jupiter, venus or other galaxies but it is not the interest of lao people, the actual snail pace suit our orndinary people, we do not need to rush or doing extra hours or over time but I can assure you that I personally never begged for food or money from america, france or china or anyone else. you lao nok, if you want to help, you're welcome, but in the contrary, you don't want to, we would have nothing to say...

No such a free corruption in the Developing country like many Asian,africa(Mynmar,Cambodia....Zimbamwe ...even if they are not a commu state ) , Time is needed , espicially in Laos , Lao people is too KIND by their natural,so they cant refuse to help there relative or friends as you know even it is wrong .
But everything is getting better (slowly),,,
and one thing if you just work harder than ordinary laotian, u will have the good living like the chinese,vietnamese who live in Lao.

It depends on Lao people to wake up , to work harder, save more and invest to the new business.
