I'm a foreigner,(european) i've been to laos several times now! I have no problem i love this country!!! people are very nice and sweet unlike modern countries like thailand!  I love laos more than other east asian countries!  If this woman did smuggled drugs into the country, she should be punished accordingly.  Maybe that's why laos/singapore don't have a lot of crime like let say thailand.  If you travel to foreign countries you respect and obey the rules and laws of the country... so don't blame the gov't....don't bring the damn drugs into the country!....

I think it's rediculous to say that she was targeted by the security at the airport! Laos in on the verge of becoming the tourist destination of east asia! why would the gov't blackmaled her! what purpose would that serve!

As for us we be back to Laos soon!

A time I could remember around the year 1994 this case also drug traffic they were from Nigeria, there were together about 8 people. That time I worked as a part time work in a hotel in Vientiane. All of us did not know thay done drug traffic, until they were captured at airport and the police came to that Hotel to make report then all of us tried to remind that Nigerians they almost of time stay at room if went out they must leave some of them in the room.

Hey! No hard feeling here.  If you are actually European, then I apologize.  The problem is that there are too many trolls in this forum; as you know, anyone can post under anonymous names.  It just seems to be too coincidental for you to pop up with your very first comment about Laos in here.  You must have been browsing the site for quite some time.  It is true that I was born with this phobia. I’d rather die while my feet are on the ground.  I am very afraid of flying unless I have no choice.  Greece is an ancient country and I would love to visit the place but my phobia is my impediment, I guess I am just happy without having the need to fly.

Did you take pcat test online? In the United States, it’s very rare to be accepted by any Pharmacy Schools unless you obtain a bachelor degree in either chemistry or biology and with the GPA 3.6 doesn’t guarantee you would get in at least not in my state.  You have to also pass the oral interview and most Pharmacy Schools are private owned, so they are very expensive.  You need to get a student loan because scholarship-grant isn’t enough, but if your parents are wealthy then it is a different story.

By the way, it’s nice to hear your positive comments about Laos and hopefully you would visit the place again.  Yes, I am almost 20 years older than you.  It is a fact of life that we have to face it eventually.

Hi congratulations! i'm also senior at University of Oklahoma-college of pharmacy.  I'm graduating next month! i'm so happy! I was accepted into the program when i was 21 and i'm 26 now.  I did my all my pre-requisit at univ. of ark.  It does cost a lot, i owe a lot!  I enjyoed interning at different hospitals and local pharmacy places because that's where i actually learned something.  what state are you from bruce? i'm in Oklahoma.  It must be different because i didn't have a degree in chemistry, but i had to take a lot of sicence classes though.  Yes this is true, the interview process was terrifying but knowing that my hardwork paid off is something i'm very proud of.  I know that my parents are really proud of me as well!

Hey no hard feelings because I don't care for you or your condescending remarks from the lights of you...i mean that's just your hangups insn't?  I've been searching information on the country of Laos.  So I found this "samakomlao forum" about four weeks ago.  I never thought i would receive such a warm reception from someone whom i don't know....why would you think that it was an coincendental when there are hundreds of other posts here daily.  Does this site barred non-laotian from posting and reading news. I'm almost positive that I am not the only non-laotian girl reading and posting. Webmaster... If this is the case then i'll search elsewhere. 

 By the way, California known as the Golden State, I've been to the U.S. several times.
