Thanks for posting the videos. Maria is very beautiful and talented. But I don't understand why did she have to sing Whitney Houston's song 'The greatest love of all'? Other artists sang their own country songs. I believe there are thousand of Lao songs that she could choose to sing.

It wouldn't hurt to wear Lao traditional costume too when performing.

I can't wait to see her performs in SEA GAMES.

She is also a member of singers who sing a theme song for 25th SEA Games
"Samaki SEA Games"

The singers are Sithiphone, Sam, Gai, Malya and Poui. The English version is called SEA Games Harmony and the Lao version is called Samakhy SEA Games. The lyric and rhythm were composed by: Saysavath Singnamvong.

You got good voice. Does your singing voice naturally vibrates or is it just your style? Have you tried controlling the vibration? I think your songs would sound great with your voice without the vibration as it will flow smoother.

Hi Maria, i'm Alessandra 19, i'm half lao-brazilian and i'm journalism student in the states. How old are you and are you in school? as for me, after graduation i'm going to work for Univision. I'm mucho excited that i'm going to Laos in Dec. You have a strong voice girl! I like your style. Well if she's trying to imitate Celine Dion then I would say she came pretty close to that, but seriously she should have her own signature voice her own style to be a good singer.

There's already Celine Dion on this planet and now we're waiting for Malya Vilavanh's CD to come out ok. biggrin

Thanks for your advice. it really helps me! I've never had singing lessons in my life so it's kind of hard to control the vibrato, i'm still trying it though haha it's hard without someone to teach me how hehe ^^ but really thx for trying to help me :)
But please just to let everyone know..no mean comments :)

Oh yeah i'm really trying to find my own voice but it's hard to do it when u sing songs that have already been sung by professional singers anyway soon when my own songs will be done that's when I think you'll all hear the new me!

You have a unique (vibration) voice and if you are coached properly you can be a great singer.

Singing songs that were sung by famous international singers is a good way of practicing to the perfect because then you would know how good you can be in terms of singing compare with them.
