How do they know exactly the date back to 2453 years ago. Look at these silver sheet seem to be in the period of the ancient Khmer empire.

But I'm not agreed to put these ancient valueble things at there b'cos there have nothing to protect these valueble things away from the robbers (You think you mentioned about spirits which protecting these valueble things will make these thiefs not to come? You may wrong!!!) . The Fine Art Department should do something and better to keep it in the national museum.

But if that family sale it to some merchant and if they smart enough so they will be the latest Laotiane Millionairs as it gonna cost of money. (I means if they are selfish not to think about the Lao national beneficial)

It's never out of date as long as you just discovered. This is the latest news that I just knew it and posted my comment on it.

In this world there are so many many things out there that out of date or trends for somebody BUT for me.. Learning is never end even if I have to be at 80 yr old it won't stop me to learn something new.

what really make sure they dated back 2453 years old? due to the news i didn't hear they showed evidences. as i saw in the news (maybe not clear) the silver looks like picture of Apsara style of Cambodian,. then it must at least Angkor period (11 century) or later than this and logically the silver period was not that last 2453 years!!

wow wow!! over 2000 years? yeah I saw the silver Apsara bas-relief and other images of the Theva with lotuses. I guess the artefacts are not Angkorian period, but way earlier than 11th century. The Apsara image is not as elaborate compare to those in Angkor, therefore, it suggests that they were probably made during the Sri Khotabun Empire times, or better known as Chenla.

Well. the government needs to preserve and securely protect these treasures. Theye are valuable evidences that we could learn more about this civilization and prove that Sri Khotabun empire really existed.
