(KPL) Remains of 21 Vietnamese soldiers and specialists who died in Laos during international mission have been sent back to their homeland. The remains have been discovered in six northernmost provinces of Laos over the past five months. The hand over ceremony for the remains of 21 Vietnamese soldiers and experts was officially held in Luang Prabang province on 28 May.The exploitation mission for remain of Vietnamese soldiers was conducted under the co-operation programme between Governments of Laos and Vietnam. Over the past 15 years, the special task committees of Laos and Vietnam have discovered 1,402 remains of volunteer Vietnamese soldiers who died during international missions in Laos.
