Reports are coming in from China that the authorities are implementing an irrational policy of dog slaughter in reaction to eight cases of rabies in humans.
A town called Hanzhong, in the north-west Shaanxi Province, is the focus of this latest dog cull which has been implemented with the aim of making the town a "dog free zone". More than 20,000 dogs have been killed in the last ten weeks.
The killing is done brutally. Men with sticks call dogs over as if to give them a treat, then they bludgeon the dogs to death, chasing them down the street as they squeal in terror. Videos show men laughing as they carry out this gruesome task. Pet dogs are not safe: there are stories about tearful people having dogs seized out of their arms, then being beaten to death in front of them. It's said that the killing is done not only by local officials, but also by members of the public who are motivated by a financial incentive for every dead dog.


i think we wont have problem like this.  ex: in Vienchan the restaurant infront of National university always take care about it.
