There are a lot of people like you would like to come back but just could stand that They have to bribe every one of the government officials from the bottom up. You know...that is why Laos getting progress to slow..too much corruptions...

I know some friends would like to open garment and plastic factory and they have to gave up because of corruptions.

True you need to know some body to get the process faster...other why... yeah slow.

That is the reason why they scare a lot of investors away and lost o lot of jobs and taxes income to the country. Those investors went to Cambodia .

I think it is the right of laonok to or not to contribute to the progress of laos, no one can blame them about that because most of members present here don't know what they or their fathers have endured before reaching france, us, germany or canada, when leaving laos by swimming accoss the mekong river with a plastic fish sauce can, exposing themselve to the gunfires of the konglones and soldiers who didn't hesitate to shot them down like maddogs...and now, you want them to help you, what kind of humankind are you ? Laonok still contributed indirectly to the development of laos by sending money to relatives to buy land and build new houses or even buying cars or trucks to alleviate poverty in laos. I don't understand why those people are angry when laonok criticized the wrong doing of lao officials who steal the lao government assets or properties ? which are the properties of all lao people ? they criticied us because they cannot bear the standstill of laos, they want laos to be more developped... they are disappointed to see their sons of their relatives being still poor after 30 years of peace . Yeah Laos have a sin and continue to carry it untill we all dye

35 years in peaceful time and very little have been done and Laos become the most poorest country in Asia or may in the world. The high ranging goevrnment officials just watching the clock ticking and waith for the foreign aid money every years. Even the world bank laon Laos money , Laos still won't know what to do with the money but steal those money. Well, hopeless......

There are hope to be part of China by allow China build the raods , buildings and aid and every that Laos need in return just accept the Chinese to be the master for the next 1000 years that what the communist party already made their commitment with China.

i think you read too much news on CNN . Have you been to china? how well do you know china? I have been living in china for almost 10 years, of course the poor chinese are more than Lao population, but as I have said, the majority of chinese are not poor. yes it divides into High class, middle class and low class, the poor and rich are so big difference and unbalances.

Yes , I have been in China may times. Yes , of course you will love China , I understand that the way you try to defense China but the truth and the fact of China could not be hidden for ever. One billion people are still poor and need medical care and welfare and have no human been right . Of course you are not one of those people why would you care and you feel the same with the Lao people who are living in the remote area, countryside and the slum in Laos. So you want to continue to have your good life . So you don't want to see any changing and getting progress in Laos that you and your party will lose the power . That is very simple to keep China to be your master. 35 years ago very little Vietnamese and Chinese were living in Laos now million.

I have done nothing for Laos but I have not sold Laos and betray Lao epole like the communist party has done .They sold the land to the Chinese and solld the nation to the Chinese.
