I will be OK in time but not strong enough to travel and make my dream project happen , As you told me and your advise that is the truth that there is very difficult and a lot of politics and money . No trust and a lot of jealousy and so  you know my people . The project dosen't even happen , I was accused to corrupt already. So I gave up.....

This doesn't seem to be a very legitimate project if you are posting anonymous. I'm always interested in these sorts of things, so perhaps you could clarify what plans you had exactly.

Hi Dreamer.I only wish you to get better soon!!! I hope your health condition is not so bad and you will recover fast. Because Laos need someone like you who cares. I feel so sad knowing that with your noble interest you were accused of corruption or betrayal. That only reflects how distorted the minds of some people in the government are. This system that lacks trust but with an overwhelming corruption is like a cancer that eats the ordinary Lao people alive.

You may have decided to give up facilitating the realization of that dream yourself, but I hope you will not give up the dream itself. Even if you cant do it yourself please continue to inspire others who share that dream, I believe there are many out there but they also do not know how.

Maybe this is not the right time... but your failure now does not mean a failure forever. Everyone should keep our hopes high, despite this bad news.

I got interested in your idea because I also someday wanted to put up a foundation that will benefit poor children. Right now I do not have the resources to make it happen because better opportunities have only started to come to me very recently. But I believe soon it will happen. I just need to invest some more time and also enhance my capacity. Since I graduated from university mywork is always for or about children and that makes my life more meaningful, the compensation is just secondary. In my country, many children are also poor and need help, but the difference is that many are also ready and  giving help... it surely comes when its needed.  Unlike in Laos, when I saw the living conditions of the families, especially the children, in the rural communities even in some areas in VNT, and when I begin to understand the social and government system, I realized that its really more challenging to promote progress in Laos. But there are opportunities that many Lao has not yet recognized. I see that there is potential for growth but Lao should be the one to realize it themselves. No one can be more responsible for your country but you.. lano nork... Lao nai... does not matter. Laos still need to open its mind and broaden its perspective to recognize the things and opportunites that can be used to promote positive change. Many also need to face their fears and insecurities to be able to move forward.

We all have to thank you for at least trying. Remember the story about the geese... if the leader gets sick or tired he move to the middle or back of the flock and let another who is stronger to take the lead... the former leader does not leave the flock, it continue to join them but not necesarily taking the lead itself.

I hope someone else will take the lead. Maybe if others are really serious, things has to be planned and discussed separately or more privately... not in this public forum. Samakomlao I hope will not misinterpret me for saying this, but i think I understand why the dreamer wanted to keep himself anonymous. Let us just respect that for the meantime, but lets also give some insights on how we can help push through with this dream, not to set it aside. That is if we are really serious about this.

at this point, Im not sure how this will happen but I belive that if there is a will there is a way. i anyone has an idea, please feel free to share. The dreamer may also choose to share his experience to make us understand why things did not happen to his favor.

Good luck to everyone and God  bless!

I am always skeptical of organization attempt to accomplish task such as this. There are many NGO's that are already out there. I saw a few on YouTube and on blogs.

Why not work with them or simply donate to their causes if anyone feel the need to do it.

As for me I would prefer helping my own relatives financially whenever I can. And I have a huge clan. Sending $100 every few months help them out a lot. This would be my tiny contribution to Laos and its economy.

With this kind of kind of attitude (every man for himself) this why Laos is still one of the poorest country. It should be one for all and all for one to make our country in a better situation

to the Dreamer or anyone in Laos, could you please find out what organization that is geared towards food, health and/or education for Lao children. Not the scholarship type but an institution that organize activities to reach the unreached children. I know Big Brother Mouse is doing some projects to promote literacy esp. in children living in the rural communities. What else? Maybe this "dream" can start small time and link initially with the existing one. Arragements can be done through a memorandum of agreement so that roles of each party (existing one and the dreamer's) and the method for spending funds will be in black and white.

Preferably one that is run or funded by foreign individuals or organization. The  project could run parallel to their's so long that visions and objectives are the same or at least related.

Dreamer, im not pushing you on this. Your fast recovery is more important. Besides if someone else here can do it, the better.
We take things one step at a time.... no need to rush. If this dream has to come true it has to be thought of very carefully. The approach should be like playing chess, every step has to  be calculated, situation analyzed and consequences considered.

Cheers!

This is great! Nice job! I think these 3 could be a good start. When you say you trusted, do you mean because they have good reputation and doing well with current projects?

I have limited access to internet but I will also try to get some more information about them.

I see that there a many responses and a long list in the other topic. This is a good sign, dont you think so dreamer? How about the others do you think its a good idea to just ride on with them?

I know some will have doubts or have some concerns but that those issues can be discussed later... for the meantime the most important is to know everybody is still on the same boat....

Watches are a beautiful thing. Certainly, they tell us the time - but aren't they so much more than that? replicas watches Through their watches, a person can express so much, and in a way it could be said:replicas watches Show me your watch and I'll tell you who you are.
