Chaleunsouk ‘Toui’ Keophansa, a popular DJ on Vientiane Capital FM, has been killed in a freak accident.

He was killed by shockwaves coming from the sound system of a Hummer. The vehicle was being filmed for a music video at the time.

Country rockabilly outfit ULUVUS were just wrapping up a take on a video for their new single ‘Your mum’s gonna get it’ when the tragedy occurred.

‘We knew the bass was loud, but never thought this could happen,’ said NIA, the band’s accordion player. ‘Some token chick was dancing on the roof of the Hummer for a couple of hours and she was just fine.’

The band’s manager, Jethro Stern, could not get out of bed to comment, but it was possible to contact Norwegian Wood, the band’s ex-frontman, now famous for being dead.

‘I can’t ****ing believe it,’ said Wood, from the grave. ‘Video killed the radio star.’

this is someone's comment:

A shock wave from an explosion entails a discontinuous pressure impulse that is more destructive than a continuous sound wave of equal amplitude since it creates a sudden "overpressure" on one side of your body, but not the other. This results in one being crushed. However, if the explosion is large enough (think nuclear bomb), the infrasonic sound wave left over from the dissipated shock can still kill by picking you off your feet and throwing you through the air at a few hundred miles per hour. Although, technically speaking, it will be whatever you hit that ends your flight that kills you.

The article was written back in 2008 and why did they just came out with the news?  Perhaps, ULUVUS is trying to sell their new cd?

Who?
Chaleunsouk ‘Toui’ Keophansa? Is he popular? What FM he belong? I never heard this name before.

I know just DJ Tui Chanphaxai, he was in FM 105.5 MHz. By the way, DJ tui who I mentioned is still alive!
