I am from australia and had a tour of south east asia which included laos cambodia and vietnam. Along my journey in vientiane i found a sign stating "rue phanom penh" Which is french for phanom penh road. And phnom penh cambodia was the first stop of my tour and it was baffled. It was funny because for a second i thought that i was still in phnom penh. Just a funny story i would like to share and also it is good to see the historical and cultural history of Laos and neighbouring countries.
