for me, it doesn't look like a temple. it rather look like a government office (there are lao national flags) or a residence cos' it has a chimney. I never saw a temple with cooking place...
I dont know whether you are buddhist or not and what standard you based on to judge this temple is URGLY. For budhists, temple is where people go to pray and seek for the peaceful mind, temple is an important place. And it was built up by ppl's donation and sacrification. Temple has its owned value, not the look.... please take the word back... -^-
