no choices, Laos is lack of company that can survey and dig the national resources under earth , if the government is not allowed to Vietnam or china to study and dig it, those national resources will remain without any valuable and the country and economic can't grow. this is why is government allowed the oversea company to have develop the protect.

30 Millions USD is enough to improve the road in vientiane province if the gov is not corrupted .

30 years ago our Government had said " we are sitting on the top of treasure boxes but, we don't have the keys to open it; we have to send our young generations to study abroad (to get the keys) to come and open our treasure boxes". Now, it has been more than 30 years why we still
can't open it ourshelve.

i think the time will come im sorry i cannot read laos so i hope sumone can translate the article for me but what im getting from other peoples responses is. some thing like the vietnamese are digging up our land to obtain valuable resources ? and the the lao government is allowing it ?

so my take on that is i thnk it is great to have vietnam as an ally but lao is now na independant nation our people faught and die for OUR Country Not vietnamese. so i am glad to see good relations with vietname but i someday want lao to be more of an nation whre they dont have to dependon onther countries to do things such as this and our politics should be about bettering the lifes of LAO citizens.

i know this day will come but we all must do our parts. lao will be a strong nation again.

The generation had went to get the keys but only to return back to Laos and had the keys taken away by the current lao government, therefore the treasures will remain with the corrupt government and never be opened to the public.
