I dont know why people classify Lao Nai and Lao Nork?
to me it is nonesense, and i dont think it will become the big issue for debating. Anybody tell me the history?
By the way, I am people who was born and grew up in Laos, and I am ordering this DVD.... it is worth for my family to see it.

Long time ago, I asked some guy in this forum to give me a good difinition of what is the meanning between  Laos Nia and Lai Nork?  I was confused and disappointed for calling me a  Lao Nork. I thought Loas is Laos . It doesn't matter where you live, but I was wrong. In my opinion,I think Laos Nia is the  one who denied to accecpt Laos stands for one not two.

Kon lao bor samakee gun.  that is the problem that hurt us.

some wounds take time to heal. Prejudice, insults and suspicion can make a wound worst; but forgiveness, love, acceptance and openness will  make it heal faster.  This forum, as its name imply, should serve as bridge to unite all Lao, regardless of where you are right now. It should not be an instrument to make further divide. All the best for Lao nai and Lao Nork.

I agree with everything you say.

I agree with you on this. I finally managed to download the whole episodes and watch the movie in full. I never seen anything in it that can be considere anti-government. Its just plain and simple story of the struggles of a young man and his mama trying to re-unite the family who has  been constantly subjected into series of unfortunate events that keep on tearing the family apart. Yes you cant avoid mentioning about the war and related events that Laos faced because in the first place it is where their struggle started. But all in all, its a quality movie, can not be even classified as political.

Congratulations to the successes of this film and all the people who enabled its creation.

Cheers!

You are correct.  Lao never get along.  That is why other country take advantage of us.  No one is going to love Lao if Lao don't love each other.

I know the mother speaks in a Thaket accent.

I was referring the narrator, you know, the one who said who all Lao sayings in the background and whatnot.

There is a difference.
