Myanmar's Suu Kyi to jail more 3 years

Burmese pro-democracy leader Aung San Suu Kyi has been sentenced to an additional 18 months house arrest by a court in Rangoon.

Ms Suu Kyi, a Nobel peace laureate, was convicted of breaking the terms of her house arrest by allowing a US man into her lakeside home in May.

She was jailed for three years with hard labour, but this was commuted to house arrest, an official said.

The American national, John Yettaw, is also on trial.

Ms Suu Kyi had denied the charge but said she expected to be convicted

The verdict is not very surprising at all. The junta will do what they can to suppress true democracy. Its funny that a entire military force is scare of one little woman. Well it wouldn't be long before that old general and his lap dogs drop dead.

why don't the Junta gov just kill her and nothing to be scared of her anymore?

or send her to reeducate in Laos?

If the Junta kill her then it means civil war.Keeping her alive is their only best option as of right now. They may not like it, but it will keep the general mass calm.

I really don't like this myanmar gorvenment dirty trick. They use an American guy to keep her in house arrested and take her away from next election.
