Top stories of Vientianetimes newspaper today

Top stories of Vientianetimes newspaper today cover the story of Miss Universe 2009.
What I wonder was that it is an event that has nothing to do with Laos, but the newspaper make it a headline. While our Lao blood, Amy, who won the title of Miss Asian American, and representing Laos to the world, were not on their news or report.

I think the staff at Vientianetimes need to open their eyes, search more information, and report more something that related to Laos.

i think the samakomlao is better than vientiane times, Visit every day on forum you will know what's going on related to Lao all around the world. Vientianetimes, Pay for read? can't believe it

vientianetimes is not much of a lao news source,
for if it failed to report about Amy Chanthaphavong MISS ASIAN AMERICA.

maybe just call it an old propaganda news, good at reporting about nothing.confuse

Hi Dekjap, it's not big surprised to me at all since President Hugo Chávez and our leaders are good friends. Amy Chanthaphavong is a child of Lao refugee.

I totally agree with you guys.  Who cares about Miss Universe???  You guys are right, they should at least put Amy picture on their front page last week.

?did someone attend miss universe for them to put it on front page.

if you can put miss universe on front, you can a least mention miss asian american yes?confuse

She's born and raise in American, of course she's American but she's Laotian blood in her.

 Thanks ecom.org.la for making Laotian who live in abroad and in PDR have closer relationship.

Vientianetimes screw up a big big time.
