Lucky for Pae my cousin back in Laos was about to throw rock at him during the movie shot! And also some other friends was about to kick the living hell until he goes handicap for life! furious

But this is what I heard, but yea Thailand is making this friendship between Thai and lao into a serious matter and we all know Thailand are not friendly to Laos in a general diplomat.

It has got to do with the story, I think, the story that involves a Thai character and not Ananda again. The question now is who should be that next Thai actor to replace Pae? [Unless Lao Art Media could afford to change the story altogether- setting the story in Laos and involving only Lao characters].

Ananda is a perfect guy for this movie because he is half Laotian and he has many fan around asia.

I think Ananda is cool too. I remember reading his interview when being asked whether he thinks he is Lao or Thai, then he said "I'm Lao. In Thailand, although I've been living and working there, I'm still treated like 'outsider'" [something like that].

But I guess Lao Art Media is not using him again because the story might not involve Ananda's character, Sorn, although Sabaidee Luangprabang 2 is a sequel. I heard that there would be part 3 as well with different male lead, also Thai, but with the same Lao actress, Khamly Philavong.

I think it is a very good decision
If they allow the movie to start shooting, many problems will come later.

Do you remember the great thai singer Thaeh (I don't remember his last name )who said very bad thing to lao girls, it affected not only lao people but also esan girls and esan people . Just after his statement the sale of his tapes dropped down to the bottom and six months later not a single thai FM and AM brodcasted his songs, he tried to resurface an gain popularity again but he failed. Paeh too, he would end like Thaeh. khonh bor mee khunsombath.

I think we should keep the nice first film
SABAIDEE LUANG PRABANG and stop right there.
I like that movie It's cute beside
what make that film sucessful is
because they have the right couple starring
on that movie. The plot/script is also very
nice memorable classic as Lao. We did not use
Thai Star on the fist one Ananda is not Thai.
Why do we need Thai male on part 2.

I really hate to say those bunch of Thai movie
star or Thai Singer.
I mean the Idiot one who like to talk down and insulting
Lao People. They aren't any better than we are anyway.
They think by making themselve appear on the news
regarless bad or good will make them famous
if they don't get kill first like the incident in Cambodia.
Just remember Laotian actually love peace don't like agueing.
But, if we have to fight we can be your worse nightmare. When
you hurt one Lao is effected to all of us. Pae you're Idiot.......

Ananda, he doesn't speak Lao at all. He's only speaking Thai more than speaking in English. But he's know how to answer the question.

Why don't change to find Lao handsome actor and find some beautiful & sexy Thai actress to act it it. Thai girl came to visit Lao and met cute Lao poor fisherman boy but at the end she found that that Lao boy has high educated from State and doing some research in his home country about the Giant Catfish in Mekhong River.
