we have to understand that here in laos, we have very few real workers, and those who are real workers have already been hired, and those who should be hired by chinese companies are not real workes, let us call them seasonal workers, are they good workers?
Yes, very good ! but when the rice field is ready for the crops... then bye bye ! or more funny : on fine day, in the middle of a working day, one worker went to see to manager and ask for two or three days leave : Oh ! my boss, my buffaloes didn't come home last night, I have to go and look for them ... Put youself in managers shoe and wil be your reaction in this single case ? and if in many many cases ?

chiip I have read a lot of your comment before some of them very interesting but this one I have to disagree with you brother. I think Laotian are very good workers because you could see that hundred of thousand Laotian are working in Thailand and over sea hardly calling sick and the best . I knew because when I was student in college , I went to school during the day and worked at night and no day off so do all Laotian students. Some of us who chose not to study any more worked two jobs 14 hours a day 7 days per week and saved money to send money  to help their families back home in Laos or saved money to start their own business and some of them are very successful today. So what would you please explain this to me about those people who are in this video in Thailand looking for jobs that they work only few days and take off and looking for their buffaloes  and get hung over from be drunk.

Lao people need to be trained and become skill workers not only farmers and hard none skill labours. Austria is land lock country just like Laos but Austria leader has brain and train the Austria people.

So what is so funny about that Laotian could be educated and become skill workers instead just to be farmers and low cheap hard labours. Or you don't want  Lao people to be well educated and become professional skill workers because lao people will be too  intelligent to control and difficult to conquer Laos.

Hey! read the comment above yours carefully before you rush to make any judgment , it looks like you misunderstood my comment  FOOL! no
No one  including myself is making fun of the possibility for the farmers to someday become skillful and  well educated so they can be smart and  know what strategy to use in growing crops such as rice, vegetables, fruits, and even breeding cattle. If it meant to save time and money for those poor farmers, and this is what I had hope for.

Any body could learn and be improved if they have the opportunity. So why the foreign companies always have the excuses and the reasons not to train and hire Laotian in Laos . A lot of Laotian over sea have to be known as very good workers. Some of them work two jobs 14 hours per day and 7 days a week for many years until they saved enough money to start their own business and be very suceesful .
